The 59th ACM Awards Thursday night were full of surprises.
Chris Stapleton, who won the night's artist of the year and album award, pulled off the surprise of the night with his performance alongside wife Morgane and pop star Dua Lipa. The trio combined voices for a soulful rendition of "Think I'm in Love With You" that showcased Stapleton's trademark voice but also showed a new side of Lipa's vocal abilities.
Singing from behind a red Fender Stratocaster guitar, wearing his trademark well-worn hat, Stapleton allowed Lipa to kick off the song with beautifully powerful vocals before he and his wife joined in.

"We've been talking about this for a while," she said. "It was my idea, so I just reached out and this came about. I just feel lucky to have been in Chris and Morgane's orbit for a few days.
Lipa has had a busy couple of weeks following the May 3 release of her third studio album, "Radical Optimism."
On May 5, she danced the Saturday night away live from New York when she made her "SNL" hosting debut and also served as musical guest. During her monologue, Lipa noted that her parents, who have always been "so supportive," were in the studio audience.
"As you can see, they're kind of cool," she said. "They love to party. One night, I was out with my friends and we ended up at the club at 3 in the morning, and who do I bump into but my parents?" She joked that the incident was "embarrassing, because the last thing you want to see when you're super high and drunk ... is your daughter."
