Dave & Buster's will soon begin letting customers wager on popular arcade games in its app.
The company is partnering with gaming provider Lucra to provide customers with a "fully immersive experience at venues nationwide," according to a news release from Lucra.
The partnership will integrate Lucra's gamification software into the Dave & Buster's app, allowing loyalty members to compete with each other, earn rewards and unlock exclusive perks, Lucra announced.
“This new partnership gives our loyalty members real-time, unrivaled gaming experiences, and reinforces our commitment to continuing to elevate our customer experience through innovative, cutting-edge technology,” said Simon Murray, SVP of entertainment and attractions at Dave and Buster’s, in a news release.
The betting function will only be available to players age 18 or older and in 44 states, according to CNBC.
USA TODAY has reached out to Dave & Buster's for more information.
Dave & Buster's is the owner and operator of 223 venues in North America, including 164 Dave & Buster's branded stores in 42 states, Puerto Rico and Canada. The company also operates 59 Main Event branded stores in 20 states across the country.
