Jenna Dewan is celebrating a decade of being a mom to her "fierce" daughter.
The Step Up actress commemorated her and ex-husband Channing Tatum's daughter Everly's 10th birthday with a heartfelt social media tribute.
"10 years ago today this fierce, magical soul entered the world and made me a mom.. and my life has never and will never be the same," the 42-year-old wrote. "You are everything and more to me. I am eternally proud and grateful to be your mom. Thank you for choosing me. I love you more than I could ever express!! Ahhh 10….!"
Jenna included in her post several heart-tugging throwback images, including pics from Everly's birth to their trips to the beach. There was also a snapshot of Everly as a toddler, sporting hair rollers.
Jenna also shared a sneak peek into her family's birthday festivities on her Instagram Stories. She posted images of a pink cake, vibrant balloons from Becky Balloons (a tradition she said "amazes" every year), and a dedicated "Evie's Slime Station," in which the birthday girl could put together her own crafts.
Channing, 43, also paid tribute to Everly on Instagram, sharing an image of his third Sparkella children's book, inspired by Everly. The Magic Mike star reflected on teaching his daughter about the importance of truth-telling during a stint on a May 30 episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna.
Channing admitted that he's still finding his footing in fatherhood. When asked about his parenting philosophy on Today, Tatum responded, chuckling, "I have no idea. I'm just trying to get by, I think just like every other parent, you're just kind of trying not to mess kids up."
He added that he's learned a lot about setting boundaries for children and the crucial role they play in easing a child's anxiety and stress levels.
"Even though they don't want boundaries, they do want boundaries," he explained. "Her anxiety goes down, her stress level goes down when she just understands the rules."
